Walgreen’s – Free Bayer Contour and Breeze 2 Monitors

Well, Walgreen’s hasn’t had too much for free lately since they did away with their rebate program a few months ago.  I haven’t heard anything new coming out to replace the program anytime soon, either, which is disappointing.

And–with it being “end of the month”–we’re probably lucky to get the monitors.  As you all know, being able to donate diabetes monitors to those in need is one of my biggest passions….and it hasn’t stopped.  I’ve found a new non-profit to donate the monitors to…and I’m thrilled to be working with them.  Two weeks ago, I was able to take a tour of this worthy cause, and actually SEE these monitors land right into the hands of those who need them.  Mission of Mercy (http://www.amissionofmercy.org) is a 501 (c)3 here in Phoenix that provides free medical care to anyone who needs it….  No questions asked.  They take absolutely NO funding from the U.S. Government either, so they have complete control over where the money needs to go….a LOT of it goes into Diabetes Medication for those they serve.  Check them out at the link above, and you’ll see why I’m so jazzed about being able to help them out.

Bayer Contour or Bayer Breeze 2 Diabetes MonitorsThis week, Walgreen’s has these on sale for $14.99.  There are TWO ways you can get them for free….First:  Our Sunday paper coupon inserts have coupons that are good for a price of up to $30.00, thus being able to get them for FREE.  Coupon locations are:  Week E (Week 5 RedPlum Insert), Week L (Week 12, SmartSource Insert), and  Week Q (Week 17, RedPlum Insert).
***If you don’t get the Sunday paper (or have used all your coupons), there are rebates in the box that can simply be mailed in for a 100% refund…how awesome is that?  Folks around Phoenix have sent me close to 50 coupons, so I’ll be spending my week getting as many as I can, as the coupons expire on the 31st.

Oh..and if you haven’t entered our Sizzlin’ Summer Survey Giveaway (or whatever it is our marketing team called it), please enter now!  The first 25 will get a free copy of my book, and all completed entries will go into a drawing for a $100 Restaurant.com gift certificate.  Info. is below….

CVS – FREE Back-To-School Supplies: Pilot Pens, Swingline Stapler, Sticky Notes, Pencil Case, Erasers and more!

CVS is geared up to get us back to school this year for free!! My stepdaughter is already diving into the filler paper from last week (she’s already prepping for her Honor’s English Class), and can’t wait to see what I’m going to put on her desk every week. We’re slowly crossing things off the list!!

Caliber Composition Books, 100 sheets–  These are on sale for $0.99, and you get the same back in ExtraBucks for your next visit.  Our limit is two per household.
Caliber or CVS Erasers, Push Pins OR Binder Clips – These are on sale for $0.99 each, and you’ll get $0.99 back in ExtraBucks to use next time.  We’re allowed to get twoof these, so my advice..if you have a high-schooler, go with the binder clips and push pins.  If you’ve got one in elementary or middle school, go with the erasers.  Mix and match any two.
Caliber Pencil Case OR Index Card Case – Our limit is two per household, so get one of each.  The pencil cases are decent.  Price on each is $0.99 and you’ll get the same amount back in ExtraBucks.
Pilot Easy Touch Pen, 2pk.– Again, the sale price is $0.99, and you get $0.99 back in ECB’s.  Our limit is two per CVS card.
Swingline Tot Stapler or Caliber Sticky Notes – Our limit on these is two, so pick up one of each.  The tiny stapler works GREAT in your purse, btw.  Sale price is $0.99, and you get $0.99 back in ExtraBucks.

Here are the additional FREE things at CVS this week…woo hoo!!

Colgate Total Advanced– Colgate is on sale for $2.88.  You’ll get $2.00 back in ExtraBucks.  Use the $1.00 coupon in Week B (Week 28) of the SmartSource Sunday paper insert, and you’ll have an extra $0.12 to put toward another item on the list this week….
CVS Tampons– Buy a box of Regular or Super at $1.99, and get $1.99 back in ExtraBucks.  It’s a good time to try a different brand..especially if you’re brand loyal to something else.  Why not, they’re FREE.
Bayer Breeze Monitors – Pick up two of these at $19.99 each.  Coupons in Week L (Week 12 ) of the SmartSource Insert and Week Q (Week 17 ) of the Redplum Insert, are both for “up to $30.00”.  You can’t make money on these–but you can get them for FREE!!!  Please donate these to a Battered Women’s or Homeless Shelter near you.  In this economy, many are losing their homes, their jobs—and their healthcare benefits along with it.  I you’ve followed me for awhile, you know this cause is near and dear to my heart.  DONATE.  Thanks!

There are TON of BOGO’s (Buy One, Get One’s)  at CVS this week, as well.  However, I noticed…a lot of them are items that we’ve been able to get for FREE over the past three weeks…so hopefully you’ve been keeping up with the posts and your CVS shopping trips.  When we’re able to get two of these per household, who needs to pay for them?  😀   Take advantage of the backpacks though..they’re a great deal at $9.99…and you get the next one FREE.

See you at CVS this week…..  HAPPY Shopping….  ~CouponCathy  www.shopsensibly.com

CVS–Free Gillette Venus Spa Breeze /Fusion Razor, Bayer Monitor

Last weekend was a disaster for free stuff, so there were no posts.  Wednesdays are the day that the grocery inserts come out, (as well as another copy of the CVS and Walgreen’s inserts), so here are the FREE goods I came up with this week.

Gillette Men’s Fusion Razor, or the Women’s Venus Spa Breeze Razor.  Not sure if any of you have ever splurged and tried these razors.  They normally go for about $10 each…and they rock.  I only pick them up when I can get them for free, though, because I refuse to pay for them.  Here’s the transaction…CVS has them on sale right now for $7.99.  Get your $4 coupon from Week W (this past Sunday’s coupons) in the Proctor & Gamble insert.  At register, you’ll get a $4 ExtraBuck coupon to use on  your next visit.

Bayer Contour Meters.  Here we go again!  These are currently on sale for $14.99, with a mail-in rebate for $14.99.  In addition, YOU GET $5 IN EXTRABUCKS WHEN YOU PURCHASE ONE, so you MAKE $5 on the deal!  As you all know, this is a cause near and dear to my heart…please get these when you can get them for free, and donate them to either the American Diabetes Association, or your nearest Homeless Shelter.  There are many people in need that can die without this simple medical device.  THANK YOU!

If you’ve been following my posts, use some of your existing ECB’s toward these purchases before they expire, and pocket the new ones you get with the new expiration date.  (Stack the deal!)

Learn how to do this effortlessly by picking up my “How To” book at www.shopsensibly.com for only $9.98!!!

CVS More Bayer Quick Release Crystals

Bayer is really pushing this new product.  I haven’t had a headache in a while, but when I do, I’ll be sure to try the new Quick Release Crystals.  I have a lot of  free ones, now, in my medicine cabinet.

Bayer Quick Release Crystals  They are on sale for $2.00, and you get a $2.00 Register Reward to use on your next visit!

Accu-Check Diabetes Monitor   These are currently priced at $14.99, and there is a Mail-In Rebate for the purchase price.  Please pick these up when you can and start a box to donate to the American Diabetes Association in your area.  These are FREE at least once/month from one of the manufacturers when you either have a coupon, OR there is a MIR.  (Mail In Rebate).  When you donate them, you can use this donation as a tax write off at the end of the year.  Many of my followers know how passionate I am about the ADA, and I’ve answered a few questions in my prior posts.  Thanks!!

CVS also has the Bayer Breeze 2 Glucose Monitor on sale this week for $14.99.  If yous used your coupon from this past Sunday’s paper in the post below at Walgreen’s, you can still get this for free by mailing in the Manufacturer’s Rebate for $14.99 (which I did).  Donate, Donate, Donate!

If you’re a great coupon lover like me (I look at them as tiny little gift cards), clip the Garnier coupon from Week 1 of this year (Week A) in the Redplum Insert for $1.00, and get a Garnier Style Product for free.  CVS has these marked down to $1.99, and you get $1.00 ExtraBuck…with the coupon, it’s FREE.

Walgreens – FREE – Bayer, Ecotrin, Rembrandt, Nivea

Okay folks…it’s definitely the end of the month, and Walgreens is making room on their shelves for a lot of new products from the pharmaceutical companies.  Cheers!

Bayer:  This week, Walgreen’s has two Bayer items for FREE.  First, the Bayer Quick Release Crystals (the same ones that CVS had last week).  It took me forever to find them, as they are a “new” product from Bayer.  Believe it or not, I found them in the liquor aisle at my Walgreens.  Now—why they were in the liquor aisle, I haven’t a clue, but it brought back faded hangover memories of college and I had quite a chuckle—-humorous to me, yet a deadly combination for others—but if you can’t find them—look over by the Budweiser.  Oh–in some stores, they have a peel off coupon for $1.00. (Mine didn’t have one, but my friend’s in Chicago did.)   Price is $2.49, and you get a $2.50 Register Reward for next time.  Use the peely, if you can, and make some money.

Second, they have the Bayer Breeze 2 Blood Glucose Monitoring System on sale for $14.99.  There is a coupon in this past Sunday’s newspaper (Week Q),  in the Redplum Insert, for $14.99, making it FREE.  ***Please save these and donate them to the American Diabetes Association.  I take about a box a month to them, and it’s usually around an $800-$1000 tax write off.  🙂  Sure adds up at the end of the year!–and goes to those in need.

So this post won’t go on forever, here’s the rest…

Ecotrin 81mg, 45 count:  Price is $2.00, you get a $2.00 Register Reward for next time.  There is a coupon at www.smartsource.com for $2.25, so…make sure that you have a cheap piece of candy with this transaction if you are ONLY buying this, that way it will give you the RegisterReward.  Nice money maker.

Nivea Body Wash:  Price is $4.99, you get a $5.00 Register Reward.   Sunday before last, (Week P), Redplum Insert has a Nivea Body Wash coupon for $1.00, so it’s a money maker.

Rembrandt Toothpaste and Mouthwash:  One, but not both in one transaction.  So…go to your car with one of these (combined with the rest of the above), and walk back in, because this is the best deal of the week.  Toothpaste is $5.99, you get a $6.00 Register Reward.  Mouthwash is $5.99, and you get a $6.00 Register Reward.

CVS–Free Bayer, Free Edge Shaving Gel

Okay folks, this week was chock full of free stuff at the Drugstore chains.  I don’t know about you, but CVS is handing out ExtraBucks like they’re going out of style…and I for one am taking BIG advantage of them!  In addition, they are offering an extra sheet of coupons at the front counter, with an additional $20 of savings on different products.  Some of the CVS stores have them, and some don’t, so make sure you ask.

This week, here are the following free items from CVS:

Bayer Aspirin Quick Release Gels:  You pay $2.00 with your CVS Card, and they give you $2.00 in ExtraBucks to use on your next visit.  Now…if you already have ExtraBucks in your wallet, just “swap them out” for a future expiration date.

Edge Shaving Gel for Men Again, you pay $2.49 with your CVS Card, and they give you $2.49 in ExtraBucks to use on your next visit.

****Don’t forget to scan your card when you walk in the door….guess what?  They gave me $5 FREE ExtraBucks with a $30 purchase…so here’s what I did with that:

This week at CVS, if you spend $20 on any Benefiber, Maalox, or Gas-X, you get $10 ExtraBucks.   Here’s the transacation:   Benefiber Powder, Week N (week 19) coupon for $2.00.  Benefiber Chewables, Week N (week 19), $2.00, and Maalox, Week J (Week 11) coupon for $1.50.   These coupons total $5.50

Benefiber Powder = $8.99,  Benefiber Chewables, $6.49, Maalox, $$5.49 = Total = $20.97

$20.97  – $5.50 in coupons= $15.47 – $5 free XBucks from scanner = $10.47.   With this purchase, you receive $10 ExtraBucks to use on your next visit, so you entire purchase is only $0.47 cents!!!

If you don’t have the free ExtraBucks, this is still a great deal for $5.47 if you use these products.  Keep this stuff if you use it, if not put it in your collection box to give away to charity.

These are some of the great tricks I teach in my EBook, The 7 Secret Steps to Savings.  Check it out at http://shopsensibly.blogspot.com.

Happy Shopping!…..CouponCathy
